About Scott

MeArch_cropped2Greetings fellow traveler (or most likely a member of my family)! As I embark on yet another travel adventure, I stop to tell you a little about myself. Why? Because you clicked on this page!

I live in the Pacific Northwest but am from a little town in Northern Nevada (no not near Vegas) and have some wrenching passion deep inside me to explore as much of the world as I can. I’ve done the mandatory Euro adventure as well as Central America and Aussie/NZ. My travels have also brought me to Indochina where I got to partake in many new sights, tastes and sounds. More recently I visited East Africa, climbed Mt. Kilimanjaro (the hardest thing I’ve ever done) and ventured on a safari in the Serengeti.

When not heeding the Call of the Wild, I am disguised as a mild mannered software developer. I have dreams (but not yet the courage) to go freelance and work abroad as I travel. Dare I? Talk me into it (please!). It may happen yet, we’ll see.

My other passions include trail running, hiking tall mountains and leaping ant piles in a single bound. Probably, like other backpackers, I prefer the outdoors, pretty much avoid TV and absolutely love airports and train stations.

I’m sure I left much out so just ask!

Happy Trails 🙂

  1. Was cleaning up some email and found the link to your blog again from Terry and Jeffery. I enjoy seeing the world through your eyes (strange, I know, but I do :-))
